Free Seminar for Brazos Valley Employers on 'Disability in the Workplace' Set for Feb. 19

BVEP SeminarCOLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – Brazos Valley employers are invited to a free seminar called "Disability in the Workplace" on Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 8:30 am to 4 pm at the College Station Conference Center. Participants will learn innovative ways to recruit and retain employees from a hiring pool of people with disabilities. They will also receive a catered lunch, resource packet, plaque and framed certificate for display.

Because space is limited, only the first 50 individuals to respond will be able to participate. Responses will be accepted no later than Tuesday, Feb. 12.

This event is hosted by the Brazos Valley Employment Project and co-sponsored by the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University and the Bryan-College Station Mayors’ Committee on People with Disabilities. Financial support for the Brazos Valley Employment Project is provided by the Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities ($375,000 or 73.2%) with federal funds made available by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Developmental Disabilities.
